Anamaria is an Romanian actress. Her debut on screen was Sex Traffic, a Channel 4 film for which she received the British Academy Television Award as Best Actress. In 2007, she starred on the Romanian movie 4 luni 3 saptamani si2 zile (4 Three Weeks, Four Months, and 3 Weeks, 2 Days) 4 months 3 weeks 2 days, directed produced by Cristian Mungiu. The film was awarded two prizes at the Cannes Film Festival (the Cinema Prize of the French National Education System & the FIPRESCI Prize). In addition, she appeared on the Francis Ford Coppola film Youth Without Youth. She appeared in 2008 as Yasim of Angwar in the BBC miniseries of five episodes The Last Enemy. Marinca had roles in Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven as well as the Romanian film Boogie. In the feature film Fury (2014), she played Irma who was a German woman, who played Emma's aunt.
